What’s the benefit of using Julie Cordero Photography LLC for my pet portraits?

I love animals. Truly. All kinds. Creepy crawlies; furry ones; ones that neigh, ones that bark. That passion is guaranteed to show through my work. I offer an innate ability to connect with your pet, which allows their true personality to shine through and guarantees better images.

My desire is to capture these precious moments in unique ways and to provide you with art that you can cherish for years to come. I only source my products from the highest caliber print houses, guaranteeing beautiful images that you will be proud of and that will be around for generations.

My dog would never cooperate! He’s nervous and hyper and never sits still. Can you still photograph him?

Absolutely! Many of my animal clients have little or no obedience training. I have a bag of tricks and treats up my sleeve to enable me to capture his (or her) true personality all while having a great time. While basic commands, such as sit and stay, are helpful (you are encouraged to refresh your dog on these prior to the session), they’re not required. Your pet will be allowed to act naturally, and nothing will be forced upon him.

Most dogs (and horses) I photograph are kept on a lead during the session. The lead, and collar or halter if needed, can be removed during the editing process.

We will discuss your pet’s personality at your initial Pre-consultation Session. This is a great time to bring up any behavior challenges.

Last, keep in mind that my professional-level camera can capture a moving animal at 1/1000th of a second! So we’ll be fine.

How much should I budget for my photo experience?

Your custom photography experience starts with the Session Fee, which acts as a retainer. The amount of the Session Fee is dependent on the session chosen but is usually $275. This fee includes a $100 print product credit.

As well, for every image ordered in print form, you will receive the corresponding digital file to that image in a resolution for online sharing and social media use for free. Those digital files are complimentary!

Other purchases are available a la carte. JCP clients budget anywhere from $500 - $8,000 + for their personal print products, depending on the amount and size of the images they would like to display in their home. Commercial projects often run higher.

May I buy just digital files?

Family photos are the most meaningful art we can have in our homes! My aim is to create not just stunning images, but real artwork that you are proud to hang. Printed photos have an impact in a way that viewing them on a phone or computer monitor never will. Not even close.

So, in answer, I limit my offerings of digital files as I desire to create museum-quality art that will be beautifully displayed for years to come.

Do know that you will receive, COMPLIMENTARY, the corresponding digital file, sized for social media use/online sharing, of every print you purchase!

Call me. Email me. Facebook me. I’ll be happy to talk.

I do not even know where to begin with all the great things I can say about Julie Cordero Photography. She was quick to respond to my inquiry and met with me to discuss what is involved with a photo session and options to think about for purchasing afterwards. Julie has such a gift of making your pet feel comfortable. My dog did not like the clicking of the camera so Julie changed lenses and managed to rock the photo session. I have some ornery weenie dogs that she was able to wrangle and photograph beautifully. I have always wanted to capture the beauty of my fur babies. Julie was able to do that while bringing out their personalities and leaving me with soulful prints that I will forever cherish. If you have ever thought about having photographs of your pet done, Julie Cordero Photography is the best choice you can go with and you won’t regret it.
